AACS EXECUTIVE TEAM
The AACS Executive Team oversees all the respective teams, ensuring the collaboration and task completion of members. In addition, they plan new opportunities, execute them into events, as well as plan Socials throughout the year! This team is made of countless zoom calls and texts, agreements and disagreements, samosas and boba.
DR. MIN LIU
AACS Faculty Advisor
Dr. Min Liu is a professor at SIUE and lives in St. Louis. She has been an active member of the St. Louis AAPI community for 10+ years. She began working with AAPI high school students in 2017 and together they started the AACS group. In her role as the faculty advisor for AACS, she sees herself as a facilitator, a liaison, a cheerleader, and an advocate. She firmly believes that there is no better investment than time and resources invested in our youth.
Dr. HEMLA SINGARAVELU
AACS Faculty Advisor
Hemla Singaravelu (Ph.D.) is a professor of Professional Counseling at Webster University and has been an active member and advocate in the St. Louis AAPI community for decades. She serves as the Program Director of AACS Mental Health Initiative and works closely with Dr. Liu to oversee youth volunteers. She also serves as the Board Member of PROMO.
MAX ZENG
Head of History Team
Max Zeng is a senior at Clayton High School who is involved in the History and Very Asian Concert initiatives. His favorite memory at AACS is going for lunch after a long day cleaning and documenting at the cemetery. Besides his work in AACS, he likes to play violin, soccer, and participate in the occasional Brawl Stars match.
